Sometimes your tasks might seem pointless, but the problem is usually that you don't see the big picture. Everyone has to help if a community is to work.
-------- EDIT --------
I was told by a good friend of mine, Jimmy Vegas, that when you look at this picture you should have "Albert Herb - Spanish Flea" playing in the background for maximum experience
Heheh! I like your description, you are absolutely right, but not many people realise your point.
To the more 'technical' stuff now, I like that little fellow over there, with his raised antenna, and the texture in the background serves its purpose very well. Congrats!
I can see every crack and irregularity in that wooden thingy, the plank or whatever it is. That's so weird. I feel like I'm looking into a weird fantasy world, where everything is about ten times as big as usual. Or more. I feel small. And I'm staring at an ant. Weird.
As you are Swedish, I assume you understand some Norwegian (yes, I'm from Norway). So I'll add one of my favourite poems by Inger Hagerup here...because that's what I thought of when I saw your photo:
Mauren Liten?
Jeg?
Langtifra.
Jeg er akkurat stor nok.
Fyller meg selv helt
på langs og på tvers
fra øverst til nederst.
Er du større enn deg selv
kanskje?
Ah, I love that poem...Hagerup is an excellent poet. In my opinion. Although, in your photo, this ant doesn't exactly look small....meh. But I think it fits anyway! As always, great shot!
(oh and if you're wondering why I write in English; it's because I prefer that. English is my favourite language. hope you don't mind.)
I love the description! I couldn't have said it better myself. AND this is an awesome macro. So clear. Almost feels like I can reach out and touch it.
Like the shadow/lighting too.
very nice description this is really quite a nice shot I like how you got so close to the ant. There's some really nice details and textures in this. Good focus as well - very effective
Wow...your really captured the ant walking very well...I feel like he is almost moving when I look at him...great depth of field and what a great shadow it's casting! Nice exposure, nice lighting...just a really great shot!
